For most of this year I have tried to get back into reading regularly but life has kind of got in the way. I used to read a lot as a child and just fell in love with the world of books and story telling. The last few years I have been drawn to reading more self development books than fiction. I love reading different theories and ways to implement positive psychology. Then you get to take the parts out that are relevant to you.
My favourites for fiction are John Grisham, James Patterson and Lee Child. I do love a crime book. Saying that, I will pretty much give any author or book a go. When I find a good book I will happily shut the world out for those few hours and become engrossed in the characters or the subject. In great books I sometimes feel sad that the book has ended!
I have decided to set myself a little challenge between now and the end of the year. I have bought a few books on the kindle app and. It got round to finishing them. So my challenge is to read the following by the end of the year:
You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero
The 4 hour work week by Tim Ferriss
Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman
To re read the Radical Self Love by Gala Darling
These are all books which I age heard good reviews about so decided to give a go. I want to end the year with some positive habits, reading being one of them.
What are you reading? Any suggestions for some good books for me to start 2018 with?
