Welcome to Day one of Blogtober 2017! I found out about this blogging challenge quite late, as in today, which is the 1st October. I did a little research to see if there were any rules and there doesn’t appear to be any, other than to create a new post every day. On a side note, how quick is this year going, October already!
Whilst I have had this blog for about 18 months, I have found it hard to post as much as I want to. I love spending time on it however I have had two house moves, a demanding job and a family to all balance my time and energy, plus I’m always trying to get to the gym. So I am hoping that this challenge will really give me a push into becoming more consistent. If I can post every day for a month then I can definitely post 3-4 times a week, right?
I’m really looking forward to doing this challenge and I really just want to see if I can do it. In order to try to do some late preparation I have taken the advice of other people who have done this before and brainstormed lots of ideas for me to write about over the next 31 days.
I want to produce quality and engaging posts and not get caught up in . I need to ensure that my focus is firmly kept on the quality of my writing and that the posts are what people what to read. I also want to mix up the type of posts I do so that I have a good variety of how to’s, lists, images and general posts.
I also want to wish good luck to everyone who is taking part in this challenge and a thank you to everyone who will support me by reading, commenting, following and generally just being here. Don’t forget to check out the hashtag #blogtober
