Octobers Favourites

Bobble hat and chunky knit scarf as part of Octobers favourites

Another month of 2018 has flown by and it’s time for me to chat about my Octobers favourites. This past month has had some highs and lows for me. I started the month having a fabulous time in Indonesia. When I came back I suffered terribly with jetlag and the UK was in full Autumn mode.

I have always loved Autumn. I associate it with the shininess of a new school year, even all these years later. I have even done a few job changes around this time of year. I love the feel of the crisp air against my face, the rich colours that come out to play and the cosiness that Autumn brings. I love that the chunky knitwear and boots are back out and I can wrap up and go for long country walks. For the last few years I feel we have been cheated of a really good Autumn but not this year!

For the first week of the month I was sunning myself in Bali. I had an amazing time and completely fell in love with the island, the food and people. The heat was so intense and I spent a lot of time either in the shade or in the pool. It was a great mixture of learning more about another culture and letting myself relax by the pool. I definitely needed the break after such a busy year.

I finally got round to reading Eleanor Oliphant is Completely fine. I had seen this book doing the rounds on social media. I really enjoyed the book and felt that I got lost in the characters world.. The second book I read was End Game which was a totally different pace. This book was a little slow for the first few chapters however once I got got in to the story I couldn’t put it down. I have already downloaded a few books ready for the next few weeks.

Catching up my blogging pals

It was lovely to have a catch up with Jo and Emma. It’s always really lovely to see these girls and we had a lot to catch up on as we hadn’t seen each other over the summer months. One thing I do appreciate is that because they have blogs it’s good to bounce ideas off them and talk all things blogs.

I have posted more content this month then I have done for a while. I feel excited about the blog  and I have loads of ideas. I love putting out content for you all to read and think I had lost sight of why I’m doing this. It can be so easy to look sight of what your doing but by spending some time going back to basics I feel ready and raring to go.

This one does relates to my first point but I feel it deserves a mention. I have bought candles, blankets and a blanket basket. I love getting home on an evening and getting the blankets out whilst I watch TV, blog or read. I also treated myself to some new hats, chunky scarf and gloves so I’m ready for winter!
