A little while ago some of you may remember I set myself a 12 week wellness challenge. The aim was for me to focus on one positive habit over a period of 12 weeks, to increase my overall wellness and how I felt. ” class=”wp-more-tag mce-wp-more” alt=”” title=”Read more…” data-mce-resize=”false” data-mce-placeholder=”1″ />
I completed up to week 7 which unfortunately means I didn’t complete the challenge. I do feel a little disappointed that I didn’t complete it and I have considered picking it back up. On reflection I feel the challenge did what I needed it to do. I refocused on feeling well and doing things I enjoy again. By the time I had reached the 8th week I felt so much better and back to myself.
When I reached week 8 I had a weeks holiday off work and with the family. We had booked a week by the coast and I had intended to still provide an update. A few days in and I just really wanted to enjoy the time we had together. We spent a lot of time in the swimming pool and on the slides and in all honesty I just didn’t really want to think about being online.
I really enjoyed completing the challenge and having something new to focus on each week. I liked having the structure of introducing a positive habit each week and having the time to reflect each week. The habits that I introduced I’m still doing such as drinking lots of water a day, reading more, making sure I get plenty of rest when I need it, listening to music and making yummy delicious food.
As I enjoyed this challenge so much I want to do another challenge later in the year, I already have a few ideas floating around in my head. For my next challenge I need to consider the length of time so that I can definitely finish it!
